BLUE NIGHT
In deepest blue, the old town of Schwerte in North Rhine-Westphalia awakens on both evenings of the festival to new and unimagined life. A surreal world of dreams, imaginings, visions and wishes opens up to visitors. You meet sleep-walking figures, musicians and dancers wrapped in blue robes, immersed in themselves on garage roofs, walls and stairs. Women sing melancholic songs about blue nights, about the moon and its
magical powers of attraction. Verses about somnambulism and the effect of blue nights on human beings whisper in your ear.
A few years ago, ARTscenico had already developed an unforgettable production - "Honeymoon variations" - for the old city of Schwerte.
Similarly, the "Blue Nights" production, directed by Rolf Dennemann and Sabine Stücker, promises extraordinary aural and visual experiences, which without the support of local residents would be impossible.
Jörg Rost creates a blue ambience full of variety. |
